As I dabble with more and more "healthy" + "clean" sweets, I have to recognize that my darned Sugar Dragon spits crazy fire of excitement, rears it's head, and metaphorically throws me off it's back, all for the opportunity to charge full speed ahead for indulgent tendencies over something "Sweet and Healthy". That is why I must get crystal clear and lay some tough love with y'all here.

This is a dessert.

There's no excuse for eating the whole bowl (like I did), that's something you truly need to recognize about yourself, it's a crucial part of your food freedom journey. For me, it's flat out sugar addiction, and if you find yourself in this boat, it probably is for you too. As I said, it's all part of a conscious way of living and a food freedom journey. Then you must ask yourself (and be really really honest in your response), is it worth it to even making in the first place?

Second - Do not have this for breakfast. Do not have this for your afternoon snack. Do not call this a healthy meal. It's a sugary, carby, tasty dessert. Got it?!

As Steph says from Stupid Easy Paleo so elegantly put it:

"(This is) dessert. And while you’re a grown-ass adult who gets to decide what you put in your pie hole, when…
…be cool about it.
I don’t intend these to be eaten regularly as a breakfast, a post-workout meal, or any of the other nonsense I see the online clean-eating crowd promoting like, “Protein balls for breakfast!” No, grow up and eat a real meal."

(see her super tasty Amazeballs recipe; again no affiliation)

Ingredients:

- 3 frozen bananas
- 1/2 can full fat coconut milk
-2 tbsp cacao powder
-2 tbsp peanut butter
-Pinch o' Sea Salt
-2 tbsp maca powder
-2 tbsp coconut oil

Procedure:

-Throw it all in your blender and blend to a thick creamy consistency
-Put in a large glass bowl and freeze for 1-3 hours, or until set to your liking
-When set you should be able to use an ice-cream scooper to serve yourself up
-Sprinkle some cinnamon and sea salt on top for extra tasty deliciousness!

PIN IT AND NEVER FORGET IT!

"Grow up and eat a real meal" HA! That about sums it up... anyhow, this sounds delicious. I love having alternatives like this when a craving hits. I've gotten pretty good at nixing sugar cravings for the most part, but every once in a while I just gotta have something sweet. I make nice cream almost exactly like this, but instead of the canned milk I usually just use plain ol' nut milk and that works too. :)
