Breath Core Balance Theory

Speaking in purely fitness terms I came to form the belief that using your breath through exercise, building a strong core, & working on having good balance were all basic blocks that would get anyone far in life.

In school I learned the importance of breathing through our exercises to help give more force to a movement. I quickly learned/realized that building a strong core would help prevent many injuries as our core is our center of power & strength. Having grown up with my grandparents I witnessed first hand the decline of balance as we age & as I started to incorporate it into my training style I realized not only was my balance awesome but my reflexes had vastly improved as well. So, I carried on in my career, feeling strongly about those vital principles, yet not fully realizing their power just yet.

Then one day I started thinking about these terms in more of a spiritual/holistic mind set. I had come to learn a deeper meaning behind breath & the importance of it to our lives & bodies through my yoga teacher training. When thinking of breath I started envisioning meditation, some basic yoga poses, relaxation & stress reducing techniques, as well as sleep, self love, slowing down, & tuning in.

When all those thoughts came rushing in I thought, "Well, what would that mean the core expands to represent?" This left me thinking for a moment. Not only is our physical core/torso important as the center of our bodies, but we all need a core & center of our lives, to revolve around, grow from. A solid, strong center, in which we could be left feeling supported in our everyday lives. This left me expanding into our career choices, relationships, how we treat others, & how we handle day to day scenarios. We must build our mental strength as well as out literal physical strength. The good news is that through building our physical strength we simultaneously build that mental side too.

The only thing left to think about was balance, but at this point point it seemed so self-explanatory. In surprising ways, through my fitness & yoga training, I've witnessed & experienced what balance can do for you in your day to day living. Its not just the muscle memory or reflexes, but being able to truly know how to let things go & be flexible in order to create balance in all aspects of life. This goes back to the relationships, career choices, & our (core) center that ties right back to the importance of tuning in, being aware, & starting with ourselves.

I had to take a step back. Suddenly I realized this is where my journey begins. I am going to show, to teach, everyone I can, the importance of these 3 simple principles that underneath it all make up our entire existence. I know it may sound crazy, could be a lot to take in, but consider this your official invitation to join me in my movement to show people how to love the life they live, be truly happy & healthy, through the discovery of yourself with breath, core, & balance.
